The OpenHIE Shared Health Record Community (OHIE-SHR) aims to enable the collection and storage of electronic health information in a centralised repository about individual patients capable of being shared across different healthcare settings. We provide a forum for discussion and knowledge sharing. We are also designing, documenting and prototyping solutions and developing a reference application.

The Shared Health Record application developed by this community is OpenSHR, based on OpenMRS and currently implemented in Rwanda as part of the RHIE.  Plans for current development activities can be seen on the technical development roadmap and all the supporting technical documentation can be found here.
