What is the purpose of testing and conformance for OHIE?

The OpenHIE Conformance and Testing framework is a tool being designed to allow software tools to test their compliance as actors within the OpenHIE Architecture.

The framework translates the Architectural Specifications into test scenarios and cases for each of the architecture's components.

These test scenarios and cases can be adopted and adapted by countries to frame their evaluation frameworks of how well a tool meets the requirements of said component.

What is the vision for testing and conformance?

The Conformance Testing Framework will be a community tool that frames the technical tests and evaluation points that describe what it means for a tool to function as part of the OpenHIE Architecture. Either as a component representation of one of the registries / business services or a point of service system consuming the exposed interoperability profiles.
