Every third Wednesday (excluding holidays) from 10:00-11:00 AM Eastern Time, regardless of whether standard or daylight saving time is being observed. *(see other time zones)
The Terminology Service serves as a central authority to uniquely identify the clinical activities that occur within the care delivery process by maintaining a terminology set mapped to international standards such as ICD10, LOINC, SNOMED, and others – It is the “What?” in the OpenHIE architecture.
The Mission of the Terminology Services Community is to promote and support the effective capture, exchange (interoperability) and analysis (comparison and aggregation) of clinical information among components of the HIE. Our efforts include the documentation of principles, processes, interfaces and tools that support the mission.
To participate in the OHIE-Terminology Services community and events, please join our Google group. All event reminders and routine updates are distributed through the group list. Minutes and recordings are taken and shared through the Google group. For help with time zones, see this tool.
