Description
The Terminology Service subcommunity serves as a central authority to uniquely identify the clinical activities that occur within the care delivery process by maintaining a terminology set mapped to international standards such as
ICO10
ICD10, LOINC, SNOMED, and others – It is the “What?” in the OpenHIE architecture.
The Mission of the Terminology Services
Community
subcommunity is to promote and support the effective capture, exchange (interoperability) and analysis (comparison and aggregation) of clinical information among components of the HIE. Our efforts include the documentation of principles, processes, interfaces and tools that support the mission.
To participate in the OHIE-Terminology Services community and events, please join our Google group. All event reminders, links to hangouts, and routine updates are distributed through the group link below. All calls are hosted on Google Hangouts, see details below. Minutes and recordings are taken and shared through the Google group.
To participate in Google Hangouts in real-time you need to have been pre-invited, and should ask Jamie Thomas 24 hours in advance for details via email at jt48@regenstrief.org.
