As countries contemplate their implementation approaches to health data sharing, many are beginning to discern how to strengthen capacity in data exchange and other HIE related topics. This community is focused on working collectively to strengthen capacity to guild build and support health information exchange projects through:  

• Identification and prioritization of training and capacity strengthening needs
• Identification, sharing and dissemination of existing global goods including guides and training resources
• Creation of global goods relating to training or guidance

This community is open to all who are interested in addressing the challenges and goals mentioned below.  

Initial Goals for 2024 

1. Establish a structure for moving forward together 
   1. Meeting / communication channels and connection points 
   2. Identification of a sub-community structure 
   3. identification of capacity strengthening stakeholders
2. Identification of a roadmap for collaboration on shared priorities 
   1. Further identification and sharing of existing resources 
   2. Determine how the group can take steps toward building hands-on experiences for technical individuals
   3. What is needed to specifically encourage and strengthen capacity and engagement of women
   4. What are language needs and how do we address them

Desired Outcomes 

1. Improve the opportunities for strengthening capacity 
2. Increased access to resources 
3. Increased impact through coordinated efforts
