Minutes:
·        Welcome
  • Call focused on data import. Next call on March 16th will be on SIMS
·        MER 2017 Target Data Elements
  • Dana and Mark provided update.
  • First draft of the data elements for COP target setting has been distributed. It was an early draft and a number of updates have been made since then. The new draft will be circulated again at the end of the week. It should be noted again that this is also a draft, and it is not in production yet.
  • The updates will be provided via this mailing list.
·        New Data Requirements for DATIM Upload
  • Jason P. provided an update
  • These changes to the DATIM API should only affect data exchangers who are utilizing the metadata API of DATIM
  • There are addtional validation checks that will be enforced on the server. There will be more checks to insure that all the data elements coming in actually belong to the correct site. Earlier they were seeing issues such as community level data coming into facility level sites - this issue should not longer occur. Another server level validation will be to insure that a disaggregate belongs to its indicator.
  • If the period is not open on the server, the server will refuse the date - insure that calendar quarters are used when importing data.
  • The day, month, and year break downs for entering SIMS data are availible in the manual
  • Saad - Oftentimes when doing data entry, there is a backlog and Saad wants to make sure that data can be entered. Mark replied that if you are entering data within the quarter it should be okay.
  • Approvals will happen quarterly. Saad feels that technical level discussion should come from the SIMS group.
  • Data should be imported a week before the deadline for ideal validation checks and support
  • Mark - Working on a calendar through quarter 4 on when the quarters open and close
·        Data Import Validation Changes
  • Will be able to see exlsuvie pair validation failures
  • Suggestion of a potential subscription model that alerts users to changes within DATIM
·        Data Import Reference Guide Updates
·        Open Discussion
