Objective: Discuss a process for establishing an architecture review board; discuss purpose of architecture review board.
To improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and transparency of the architecture design, deliberation, and decision-making processes, we seek to create an OpenHIE architecture governance process that will review design options and develop consensus-based strategies. Decisions are to be explicit and transparent. Formal engagement/membership in the OpenHIE architecture process is premised upon agreeing to established architecture principles. We need to discuss details of membership and decision-making process. It is anticipated that the monthly architecture call and online discussions will serve as primary discussion vehicles. We need to recognize that decisions will very likely be consensus decisions, not unanimous decisions.
