Governance Process
Objective: Discuss a process for establishing an architecture review board; discuss purpose of architecture review board.
To improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and transparency of the architecture design, deliberation, and decision-making processes, we seek to create an architecture governance board that will review design options and develop consensus-based strategies. Decisions are to be explicit and transparent. Formal engagement/membership in the OpenHIE architecture process is premised upon agreeing to established architecture principles. We need to discuss details of membership and decision-making process. I anticipate the monthly architecture call and online discussions will serve as primary discussion tools. We need to recognize that decisions will very likely be consensus decisions, not unanimous decisions.
