Objective: Establish common understanding for the initial OpenHIE architecture. Highlight strengths and weaknesses of this architecture.

In order to understand our trajectory into the future, we need to understand where we started. Rwanda represents that starting point, and is the current in vivo instantiation of an OpenHIE architecture. We acknowledge that Rwanda was developed under a different set of constraints and guiding principles, which likely do not reflect our current principles. The purpose of reviewing for Wanda is not to protect that particular architecture, but instead to understand where we started. We will highlight useful patterns from the original documentation (e.g., web sequence diagrams, actors (end points, senders, receivers), transaction specifications, URL's); highlight issues we've noted (e.g., inconsistent or proprietary URL's)
